Catkins Cattery the holiday home for any discering cat
testimonials on catkins cattery
  • I would not wish Gennaro to go any where else when he has to go to a cattery. Given that he is nearly seventeen, I want to know that he will be very well looked after and loved while I am away. That is why I send him to Catkins Cattery!

  • Our first experience of a Cattery left us very disappointed and we were very apprehensive about trying a new Cattery - On our first visit to Catkins, all the cats seemed very happy in their chalets, I was somewhat relieved and agreed to entrust my precious and very spoilt cat to Helen. Bailey spent 2 weeks with Helen and during this time I emailed Helen to check on him and always received news on his well being. When I picked him up I wasn't sure what to expect, but all my fears were laid to rest the moment I saw Bailey, he was happy and healthy and didn't seem to be phased by his experience at all. On the contrary I believe he enjoyed his time away from home, he had his own little holiday!! Having found Catkins I wouldn't even consider leaving my cat anywhere else. Catkins is a 5* Cattery! Helen - Thank you very much for taking such good care of Bailey - it's such a relief to know there is somewhere I can leave him where he'll be safe and happy!!

    Mrs Sheik,

  • I cannot recommend Catkins Cattery highly enough to you. Our pampered pair of kitties love staying there and they come back well fed and much loved. The accommodation is excellent (especially the heat pads in Winter!) and Helen really meets their needs. If Carlsberg made catteries!!

  • Catkins Cattery has been a great "find " for me since I moved to Hillingdon just over 5 years ago-- my two cats settle in straight away when they go there--- out of the carriers & exploring their "holiday home" ! the best part is they have a lot to look at when they are there --no fear of them getting bored, may I also add that Helen has been able to help even at very short notice when I needed to go go away suddenly, which gives me peace of mind as I know she will do her best to help out. The care the cats get is exceptional. Helen has time to give them individual attention which I really appreciate, and the cats do too I am sure. All good wishes to Catkins Cattery. • My black cat Chimney has been a regular visitor to Catkins and is always lovingly looked after by Helen, who has become as much of an auntie to him as anyone. He was once a shy and timid cat but but since a bit of Helen's tlc has come out of his shell and is much bolder and talkative than ever... hard to get him off the heated pad which is constantly on in the cold weather. The cattery is beautifully clean and tidy and the cats have the advantage of looking out over a lovely garden too - great surroundings for bird watching! I can highly recommend Catkins to any cat lover, my only problem being that the cattery does get booked up quickly so do try and sort your dates as soon as possible to avoid disapointment.

  • As we prepare for our holidays our much loved cat, Custard, crawls in to her travel basket eagerly anticipating another stay at Catkins Cattery. There she is truly pampered by Helen and we can relax knowing she is in safe hands. On our return Custard looks very content and has always been extremely well looked after... even having a new toy to bring home!

  • Catkins Cattery has been a second home to my four feline friends for my frequent weekend breaks for many years. I go to chilly, basic holiday camps, they have the luxury breaks with heat pads, spacious accommodation and all mod cons, I think they get the better deal!

  • We have taken our 12 year old ginger cat Ollie to Helen for safe keeping on at least ten occasions now, we thank our lucky stars to have found her. The accommodation is excellent and beautifully maintained. If there was ever anyone who loved their job then it is Helen. Always cheery and helpful, she gives a truly personal service and Ollie settles in quickly each time. She even gives necessary medications if they are needed while he is there, and sometimes texts me when we are away just to give the odd update. Catkins Cattery is a sort of 'Claridges for Cats' but not at Claridges prices.

  • For anyone wanting to have a holiday without worrying if your cat is being taken care of, look no further. Our cat Treacle is 18 years old and all her medical needs are taken care of and she always gets lots of fuss and cuddles. I am very impressed with Catkins and the love and devotion that is shown to all 'residents'. Everywhere is clean, tidy and warm and there is ample space to move around - Well done Helen (and Andrew) (Sadly Treacle is no longer with us - RIP little one)

  • I definitely recommend Catkins as my first choice accommodation!. You treat them as individuals, quickly getting to know their personalities and how to treat each of them to get the most out of them - I guess how we are at home with them. You also take time to find things which stimulate them while they are in their chalets, which is vital if they have to stay for more than a few days. I guess Catkins is so good because for you it is a vocation rather than a job and that passion definitely comes through in all aspects of the service...even dragging you away from the sofa in the evening so that I can collect them at a time which suits me rather than necessary suits you. It is the little things that add up to make the difference.
